For years I used Approach. It was a balance between the simplicity of Works and the complexity of Access. It used a fraction of the memory footprint and was my first fully relational multiuser success.
Then when I upgraded to a new computer it warned me that approach was incompatible. I didn't try to load it but bemoaned its loss.
Since then I have had countless people who need a desktop database and nothing to offer them. Nothing that fills their needs.

Now this version loads and works. So many features such as the form letters are infinitely better than any other product on the market. Download matlab 2009b full crack. The ease of setting up a single table list is great for anyone that is not a serious database user.
I can't thank you enough for making this available to me again. PS I own many versions of smartsuite. Wordpro was always a bit clunky.

But AmiPro was an excellent balance between features and performance on even the lowest powered computer. Personally I would have preferred to have exactly that product rewritten for 32 bit. Alas it never happened.
Why is it that in the lust for ever more power computer companies have almost killed their own markets and made their products largely unsuitable for the people who are using them? Since 1990's, I have been using Approach database for my more than 30,000 bibliographical research notes, and have not had any need for any other more recent databases. It has been stable, and two or more instances of the same database and apr file can be opened for easy browsing and cross reference. Recently, I lost my old installation file, saved in a server that destroyed all my files. I happen to find it here, and I am so very grateful. I hope Microsoft does not do anything silly to its Windows OS to make this wonderful program not compatible, as i plan to use it to the end of my life.
UK based, but in the USA, I needed to open a 123 file on a new NUC. Having discs at home, I did not want to buy again, so found this site, downloaded the full 9.8 En version and then installed just WordPro and 123, which went in like a dream, to my amazement! The only thing that may have made a difference was that I was logged in as 'Administrator'. In that name, not as 'NN' with administrator privileges.
Hope this helps someone, and thanks for making this - in my opinion great - software available.

You may be able to get it working if you use Compatibility mode. The information below will show you how you can make older programs run on Windows 7. If a program written for an earlier version of Windows doesn't run correctly, use the Program Compatibility Wizard to change the compatibility settings for the program. If these suggestions don't help, then check with Lotus for support. Hope this helps. Marilyn Microsoft Answers Support Engineer Visit our and let us know what you think.
At first I could not get it to install. When I put the cd in the drive, I would get an error that said 'cannot access registry' or something like that. I spent HOURS on the phone with lotus in India and they said they'd email me how to fix the problem but never did, even after a few follow up phone calls. Then I found a post online with a solution and I'm sharing it here. I have windows 7 64 bit version and it is installed now and running just fine with my husbands old client files and he is so happy.
What you need to do is put the CD in the drive and then go into windows explorer and click on the D drive (or whatever your external drive is) and look at the files that are on the CD. Look for the setup file and click on it. Simple as pie - it will install. It just won't install when you do it directly from putting the CD in.
I hope other people can find this useful. I am not a techie person so I am thrilled that it was so simple.
I had the same problem. Did what I always do.

Copied to a flash drive and reloaded to C. Total disaster. Asked a consultant who gets things done in Windows. Eric Charles. Email address is removed for privacy.
Got the thing loaded and working. Reloaded (copy WORK from Flash drive and zoom! Only trick I have thus far is to go to Windows Browser to find the lotus files the first time.
After that exercise, it is in the Lotus recent files and works fine. Anyone that needs help with Lotus should email Eirc. George Bower. Win 7 Pro 64 updated to Win 10 Pro 64. I think I did a clean install, my usual practice, but do not now remember for this system. Unsuccessfully tried to install Lotus SS 9.8 - Millennium Edition using various compatibility options - Win & + XP. Read this thread.

Placed installation disk in system's CD/DVD player. Clicked on File Explorer. Browsed to the CD/DVD drive. Clicked to open it. Right-clicked on Setup.exe + selected Run as Adm. Installed without a problem and works.
David's method worked, but his instruction to 'find the SmartSuite icon' is specific to his settings. I just opened File Exp.; navigated to the CD/DVD drive; clicked on it; immediately found setup.exe. I strongly want to continue to use 123 and have refrained from updating a few systems to Win 10 because I earlier couldn't get SS installed. Now, I'm ready to update a Win 7 Home Premium 32-bit laptop to Win 10 Home 32 bit.
I would like to have 10 Pro 64-bit, but I understand that it would not be a free update. I had already done this and it worked perfectly, even though I got an error message telling me that it had not installed correctly. Things that are not working in LotusScript include no use of help files and when debugging, stepping through a script may get you the 'wheel of death' rather than stepping through the code. If you plan to do a lot of scripting, have your Task Manager available on your desktop task bar for easy access - you'll need it a lot.
Ending the process is the only way I've found to break out of the spaced out debug mode. Lotus will install: How to use the CD to install to workaround the error. From the Windows taskbar, choose Computer - find the SmartSuite icon in the CD/DVD drive.
Right-click the SmartSuite icon and choose Explore, or open in new window, to display the files included on the SmartSuite CD. Navigate to setup.exe, right-click setup.exe - choose Run As Administrator. Double click on setup.exe The install should begin without error. I've spent the evening trying to install SmartSuite 98.1 on Windows 10 64-bit Pro.
Running Setup.exe hung. Running StartAutoRun.exe (called out in Autorun.exe) hung. But running the C54MKIE.exe file is working. Thanks for the suggestion to try the alternatives. It got me past the problem.
